Reminiscences
Each person is the result of the accumulation of memories and experiences. I wanted to show the obstructive experiences that torture us, cloud our judgement and keep us from being in touch with the present. The black organic patterns symbolize the release of those experiences stressing that who we become is not a direct reflection of them but rather its shadow or inverted reflection. We have the power to break free from the past and release fog that disconnects us from our present self.
Re-Birth
This site-specific installation embodies the acceptance of change. The suitcase from which a long cloth is hung, symbolizes my entire life as I always felt like my life was a constant move. The cloth from the suitcase flows all around the room embracing the changes of life that I was always so afraid of, resulting in a colorful explosion of acceptance and re-birth in a phoenix, abstracted style.
